The end of a season:
The beginning of a
new future

Over the past 15 years, we have supported over 2000 whānau towards a life of restoration, freedom and hope for the future, giving up to 7000+ children the opportunity to flourish in safe and loving homes. It has been an absolute privilege to work with our families in this way.

Due to financial and other circumstances, it is with deep sadness that we announce the closure of Te Whakaora Tangata in its current form. We recognise this is heartbreaking news, however our sense is this is not the end of the story, and the Lord will stir something new.

On behalf of our Te Whakaora team, we would like to offer our greatest aroha and manaaki to you, our whānau, and our many supporters who have partnered with us along the way. You will forever be in our hearts, and we look forward with expectation to what God has in store for the future of our community.

Stories of hope

Since 2010, Te Whakaora Tangata has been helping some of the highest-risk and most vulnerable whānau find freedom from the intergenerational cycles of dysfunction caused by violence, abuse, and addiction.

Hearing the remarkable stories of hope and transformed lives from those we’ve journeyed with – like Rob’s story featured here – is what inspires us to continue supporting those whānau in desperate need of change.
